INNER SONGS

COVER INNER SONGS-1440X1440_edited_edited.jpg

Is it possible to mix John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder, Oxmo Puccino and Duke Ellington?
With Inner Songs, Olivier Temime proves it and becomes the heir to a cosmopolitan Jazz, nourished by the upheavals of its time, essentially mixed and powerful.
Whether arranging and improvising on a speech by Rahsaan Roland Kirk, harmonizing the song of a blackbird, or moving from a lullaby to the solemn expressiveness of a bugle solo, Temime composes highly melodic, emotive music also based on interaction with the members of this new group, a mix of up-and-coming talents and established artists. It also features Stéphane Belmondo, a string quartet arranged by Vincent Artaud, and Oxmo Puccino.
With Inner Songs, Temime unveils these inner songs that sometimes sound like standards of the future.

Citizen Jazz

"Built on mise en abyme from which one cannot emerge unscathed, this album confirms, if it were necessary, the immense artistic talent of Olivier Temime.
More than a saxophonist, more than a musician, more than a producer, the former winner of the jazz class at the Marseille conservatory is the poet of breath that contemporary jazz needs.
